Risk Assessment & Modelling

The size and complexity of wildfire management challenges is growing, and decisions must be made in real time without complete information. Utilities must be able to model and manage risk accurately and effectively in order to make the right decisions when faced with wildfire threats. This track will showcase techniques and strategies for risk assessment and modelling that have proven successful in the field.

Technology Innovations

Whether it be hardware and sensors that improve resiliency and provide information, or artificial intelligence that helps to understand a situation in real time, technology is at the forefront in how utilities are managing wildfires today and tomorrow. This track will showcase innovative approaches to technology development for wildfire prevention and response.

Prevention & Response

Prevention and response activities are complex and must be coordinated effectively across the enterprise and stakeholder organizations. This track will showcase holistic approaches undertaken by utilities before, during, and after events.

The consequences of this issue threaten a utility’s existence. The problem is exceedingly complex across the organization. Our goal is to create a forum for utilities to learn and share their processes and solutions. We hope to bring together a broad representation of utility personnel that are on the ground, dealing with these challenges every day and actively creating solutions.

We’re currently seeking best-in-class speakers to share their knowledge this May in Portland. If you or a colleague have a story to share, please submit a session proposal.
